John Lennon's possessions

A hundred items stolen from John Lennon's possessions have been found in Berlin, Germany. The items that were secured included three diaries, handwritten music scoring, cigarette cases, and two pairs of well-known Lennon's round glasses.

The Berlin authorities arrested a 58-year-old man on suspicion of cheating and handling stolen goods. A spokesman for the Berlin prosecutor's office said the second suspect was in Turkey and is not affordable for now. The object was reportedly stolen from Lennon's widow Yoko Ono in New York in 2006, but reappeared in Berlin about three years ago. Berlin Police spokeswoman Winfrid Wenzel said authorities learned of items stolen in July, after a bankruptcy administrator for an auction house in Berlin contacted them.

The items were later confiscated from the auction house two weeks later. As the investigation continues, it is unclear when the item will be returned to Lennon's holdings. Since his assassination in 1980, Lennon's possessions are among the most coveted and expensive properties in rock history. In 2015, long-lost acoustic Gibson J-160E guitars and Beatles used for the Please Please Me and With the Beatles albums are sold for 2.41 million US dollars.

In recent years, Lennon's lyric sheets, manuscripts, instruments, and artwork have been sold in equal numbers. Even his teeth were purchased for 31,000 US dollars in 2011, while his box of hairs sold for 35,000 US dollars in 2016.
